Senior Systema Instructor KWAN LEE will teach a 5-workshop Foundation Series on the following Saturdays in Seattle.
December 19 - Holds and Releases (Noon-4:30PM)
Practical and effective drills against grabs and chokes. Fear reduction and breath adaptation.
February 13 - Essential Stick and Knife (Noon-4:30PM)
Indepth work with the knife and short and long sticks in various scenarios and ranges.
March 12 - The Combative Body (Noon-4:30PM)
Foundational work in breath, movement, and resilience training. Learn methods of self control under physical and emotional duress. Expand your psychological capabilities and increase your ability to adapt to changing requirements.
April 9 - Confined Spaces (Noon-4:30PM) Seattle Center
Prevailing against attacks in uncomfortable positions and around obstacles including walls, doorways, and in stairswells.
May 7 - Multiple Opponents and Crowdwork (Noon-4:30PM)
Strategies for prevailing against 2+ opponents with and without weapons. Strategies for mass attack and preparation for crowdwork.
Each workshop will be 4.5-hours of intensive hands-on work, with no experience necessary. These sessions are an excellent way to get in-depth exposure into the wide spectrum of the work we do in Systema in an accelerated format.
Workshops are open to adults (minors aged 15+ must be accompanied by a participating parent). Students will be required to sign a waiver. Water and a light snack will be provided.
